Eszter Kiss (a Psychologist who works with Mieli to focus on how to prevent and provide mental health support services)

MIELI Mental Health Finland is a mental health organisation whose mission is to promote mental health, provide crisis support and prevent mental health issues. Its aim is to build a society in which people can talk about mental health safely and without stigma. It operates at a national level through 51 local member associations. The operations are run by almost 150 professionals and over 3,000 volunteers.

Currently, as an immigrant myself, I am focusing on the impact of immigration on mental health, and how the Finnish immigrant community has information about what mental health means, and how it can be taken care of. As part of MIELI Mental Health Finland, I am focusing a lot on prevention, and on all the small steps that anyone can do to strengthen their mental health and well-being.
