The founder of African Fashion Week was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. She was raised in Mikkeli, Finland and currently lives in Helsinki where she discovered the colours of Africanness. She is a feminist and an ambassador of fashion, with Africa in its many varieties, close to her heart.
