Mr. Mohamed Achgalou is a carrier diplomat. He graduated from the Moroccan national School of Administration in 1996 with a degree in public management and from the University of Rabat in 2016 with a master’s degree in public law and human rights. His mother tongue is Arabic. He also speaks French and English.

Prior to his appointment in June 2019 as Ambassador to Finland and Estonia with residence in Helsinki, Mr. Achgalou served as his country’s Consul General in Frankfurt –Germany-.  He was, before that, head of human rights and humanitarian division in the Ministry of foreign affairs since January 2014.

Mr. Achgalou had earlier served as Counsellor in his country’s Missions to UN in Geneva and New York from 2007 to 2014.  Prior to that, he served as Diplomatic Secretary in the Moroccan Embassy in Libya from 2000 until 2005.
